We are the Millers

I have this disability that i hate funny movies, I mean i like it if a movie is funny, but i rarely find "funny" movies funny ;D
I resisted watching this movie for so long because i am not interested in its actors and the whole family, funny tone of it. But you always get to the point that you just watch those movies that you don't think you like and i was surprised.
The story of the movie is very stupid, a drug dealer, a stripper, a homeless teenage girl and a stupid kid who get together to smuggle a huge amount of pot into the US Under cover of a happy family.

A series of funny events happen and so on

There is not much to say other than that if you are bored and have nothing else to do, this is a good pick ,and i give 5 out of 10 to this movie.

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug

Why did i wait to watch this movie so long (almost a week)? i was too afraid and excited and Peter Jackson never gets to disappoint me. Everything is perfect about this movie and the fact that i need to wait more than a year to watch the next part is just heart breaking.

I have noticed this transformation or better say expansion of my taste in movies after i realized how much i enjoyed watching hobbits. Because I got so many people saying that oh no, we don't like this kind of movies with imaginary creatures and fighting and unrealistic events and i couldn't agree more, but all the special effects, costumes, scenery , i think make make hobbit much more than a pop corn movie, it is more like a piece of art.

Back to the business i am sure y'all know, this part the dwarfs are still on the journey to get to the mountains and they encounter the elves jungle where they are caught and set in their prisons and so many amazing events happen which i am not going to talk about here.

For sure, this movie is a must see ( make sure you watched the first one and lotr before because there are a lot of references which i needed to check with my friend). and i give 8/10 to it. Enjoy ;D

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire

Imagine the first hunger games movie and how amazing it was, now multiply it by 5, and this would be your experience of watching the second movie.

I am still amazed after 12 hours , somehow i wish i hadn't watched the movie so that i could watch it one more time for the first time!!!

Catching fire is the second movie of the hunger game trilogy, and after a year, it became more mature, better acts, better special effects a little bit darker, a little bit deeper, just to the right amount.

The storyline is after the last game, people at the districts started fighting against the system more, and now they have hope that something might change.on the other side, people at the capital are scared and they are trying to find a story to keep people busy with. So they decide they are going to have a game this year, with all the winners of the past games. And once again from district 12, Katnis and Peeta are going with the promise that they have to make people believe in their love.

I am not going to spoil the movie here, so I just tell you that the game is much more exciting and scary this time, and the dynamic between the contestants is much more interesting because they have the same mission. The movie is not just another action movie with pretty special effects, the drama is more mature so the movie will have a broader audience this time.

I am jus saying, get up and go watch the movie !!! please ;)

P.S. as an addition to the cast, there is an absolutely charming guy in the movies and ladies, you don't wanna miss that .

Before midnight

Right after i started watching this movie i realized it is the sequel to before sunrise and before sunset, two of the most touching ( not the best) movies i ever watched.

The movie depicts a sad truth about life, which is everything is passing, nothing lasts forever and nothing is eternal. And if you believe in this fact, which is very hard for some people, life would be very easy. It is simply saying don't look at your relationships as promises that are made in another world for you, do not expect too much and do not expect them to be perfect. No two people are meant to be together, nothing is meant to be, things happen and one should learn to enjoy them before they end.

The story happens when the guy and the girl are finally together, living in France with their twin girls, while the guy's son is living in the US with her mom.

It starts with the son leaving France after a summer break and the guy starts having the idea of moving back to the US to be close to his son, while the girl is just starting a new successful career.

For a trip they go to Greece and live with a group of people for a couple of days, meanwhile they go through a very sensitive stage of their relationship when they have to decide what is that make them stay together, If any.

I believe the challenges of a relationship is beautifully shown in this movie, i could connect easily and remember times of my life where i was going through the same questions and doubts. The story is very simple and it just wants to let the audience know that they have to pass through all those details that might or might not matter in one's life and look at what they have right now and how important that is in their lives.

I liked this movie very much though it was not all sweet and feeling good and i give 7 of 10 to it.

Gravity

First a head up to anyone with any kind of motion sickness or claustrophobia, or any other kind of phobia ,
DO NOT watch this movie !!!

Ok, to begin with this is the story : a woman struggles to get back to earth from her spaceship , Done!

To get more into the details :
I didn't go to watch this movie with high expectations, it was obvious from the trailer that it is not gonna be anything special, and it was not. I don't get one week of sold out showtimes , or 987654321 people in the theater on a Sunday night. You can even bare the $$ and don't watch the movie in 3D cause honestly nothing special happens 3D wise.It is a movie about space with NO aliens in it, which made me very disappointed.

The spaceships were well made, and you could get a good amount of information about those missions if you are a beginner like me. There were actually some interesting points that i learned. One is that they seriously need to advance the technology of making spaceships, they easily get caught on fire and are out of use. second, the buttons for controlling the machine are not all in English (WFT, why?) , third, they easily lose their connections with their base on earth. and 4th , when you go that high, you start believing in God, because in all of them you could see a symbol of belief(a picture of Jesus, or a statue of Buddha ).
And the most important thing i learned was that Sandra Bullock is not defeat-able , her oxygen gets to %1 in many occasions, she hits multiple spaceships very hard, she gets lost in the space, her cabin goes on fire and every times she comes back stronger than before !!!

Anyways, I give 4/10 to this movie only because the view of earth from space is very overwhelming and George Clooney was on his best behavior.

The Bling Ring (spoiler alert)

I had this idea that Sophia Coppola is one of my favorite directors and i love all of her movies. Well i definitely loved lost in translation and virgin suicide, but this time i am still lost.
Did she want to make a movie t show obsession with celebrities? Or with getting famous? Or rich? Or she just made a movie just because.
Even if the movie is based on a true story, It could be a short movie, or a commercial, not a whole 1:30 having the audience in suspense that something amazing is going to happen.

The movie is about a group of teenagers obsession over celebrities' lifestyles so bad that they would go to their houses and steal their stuff. And finally all got caught.
Hmm, lets see .. yeah , that was all it.

For me who is personally obsessed with fine clothing, the movie was not that boring, at least i was seeing what i love the most, but for anyone else, it is not recommended. Unless there is a deep meaning in the movie that i yet have not discovered.

I am giving a 4/10 to this movie only because i love Birkins and Loubouis ;D, but see it for yourself cause it got 59% on rotten tomato .

Fill the void (Lemale et ha'halal) , (spoiler alert)

Sometimes i accidentally find random movies that are so amazing that I feel i must have done something very good in my life before.

This movie was one of them that i found in my desperate search of something to watch on a Saturday afternoon. The movie is originally in Hebrew and is totally Jewish (I don't know how else i can say it to be politically correct). During the movie i had some problems realizing how things work and what are the roles of different people , but in general, the culture was somehow close to any other religious communities.

The story is about an 18 year old girl, whose time to get married is approaching when suddenly her pregnant sister passes away and the family decide to make the girl get married to the husband of their deceased daughter . ( I watched a Persian movie with almost the same storyline about 10 years ago, so i suspected maybe that is how they got the idea, but this movie turned out very differently than the Persian one).
At first the girl shows that she accepts the offer only because that is what is proper and everyone expect that from her, ( The husband apparently does not care that much who to marry , I wonder why ? NOT)

But at the end we realize the girl , herself had a forbidden love to her sister's husband, Or that i what i got from the movie ;D

In general , it was a very soft, emotional movie , good acts and i could easily connect to it , though it was in another language.

Something interesting i got from this movie was that though women in Jewish communities are valued based on whether they are married or not and getting married is a huge part of their life which to my surprise happens in less that 24 hour ( parents decide about your husband or wife, you see each other for some hours and then get married) , but the role of women in family is a very strong role , they are respected and they make decisions.

I would recommend watching this movie to any foreign movie lover ;D and give 6.5 from 10 to it.

The rocky horror picture show (spoiler)

A giat extravagant drag show and all kind of weird.
I've never before heard about this old musical which is apparently very famous both in UK and US and once when me and my friend were talking about something weird (which i don't remember because it happens often ;D) , this movie came up and i borrowed it from her to watch.

Like most of the other musicals, this one also does not have a strong story line : a young couple get lost on a rainy night and they find this huge castle owned by a transexual guy. At that night the guy reveals this pulchritudinous person that he made for himself. There are also a couple of servants and other transexual residents in the castle. The host ask the couple to stay there for a night and some weird sexual things happen and at the end of the night , the servants kill the guy and take the castle to transexual planet !!!!

The movie was weirdly interesting, catchy songs and nice choreography , well apparently if you watch this live it is very fun cause they do it interactively , but again even on dvd it was interesting and amusing.

I would recommend this to people who like weird things as a late night entertainment
and give 5/10 to it only because at first i tought it is a vampire, horror, frankenstein kind of movie and it turned out to be very erotic and also Susan sarandon plays in it whom i love so much.

Blue Jasmine

Nothing makes a Sunday afternoon more delightful than watching a good entertaining movie with a sweet friend.

Woody Allen always makes the most entertaining movies of all the time. Movies that are simple and you don't need to think so much about them, yet you don't feel there is nothing to it and you are bored. He focuses on a  simple life event and makes it so interesting that attracts all the attention from the audience and then suddenly lets it go and makes us think that totally can happen in our lives.

This movie was also the same. It is about a woman who used to be married to a crooked financier and now after the divorce and suicide of the husband she moves from NY to San Fransisco to make a new life. Meanwhile she stays with her "loser" sister. The woman " Jasmine" is going through a life crisis, she gets nervous break downs and pop xanax left and right. She has all kind of phobias, has no job and wants to go back to school yett doesn't know what she wants to study, AKA she is a mess and is ruining her sisters life also.

As you know Woody Allen, you shouldn't be waiting for anything spectacular happening at the end, but better enjoy the details throughout the whole movie.

I loved the story, the acts (except for the younger sister who looked like she is constantly ON something), the flow of the movie and everything about it and definitely recommend everyone to watch it. 8 out of 10 a fair ranking for this movie.

Only God forgives

Apparently a guy rapes a girl, the chief police officer makes the girl's to kill the guy,the guy's mom wants to get revenge and expect the guy's brother kill the girl's father.

How could this one and half line story was turned into a one and a half hour movie, that is the magic of the director. He could add a "Ryan Gosling", exotic Asian girls doing weird stuff, people killing each other randomly , cutting each others' heads and hands and chests and taking out the organs inside, Or he could simply refuse to make the movie.

Well in this case he chose the first option and for several minutes i had to close my eyes out of fear or sweat out of shame.

If you are into slow paced, connection in the other level, bloody movies , give this movie a try.Just make sure you are not under influence, extremely tired or have the option of watching anything else.

I think a 3.5 out of 10 is a fair ranking.

Stoker (Spoiler alert)

Nothing is more exciting than watching a movie without previously knowing that it is an awesome one.It happened to me last night when i started watching stoker with no hopes at the beginning.

This movie is about a young girl losing her dad (to whom she was very close) in an accident and sudden appearance of the dad's much younger and very charming brother who has been always travelling around the world.
The uncle tries getting close to the girl and her mom while those two are not close to and very fond of each other. Girl's mom gives in quickly and becomes very attracted to the uncle. But the girl being socially awkward is very suspicious of the uncle when their maid and the great aunt goes missing .

One night when a guy from school is trying to rape the girl after being seduced by her, the uncle appears and tries to kill the guy. Later the girl feels a sexual pleasure of seeing the scene which makes her close to the uncle.

Stoker has a very strong story line.It might sound like any other horror or mystery movie but it keeps you on your tippy toes till the end and surprises you multiple time. Director was very successful in creating and delivering all these mixed feelings of mystery, disgust and in the meanwhile understanding to the audience.
And of course the acts are very strong .Nicole Kidman as the mom is easily making you hate her while she can be the only victim in the movie or you barely feel the girl is dangerous because you can see the story from her point of view.

I would recommend everyone to watch this movie and give a good 8 to it.

Enjoy

Pacific rim (IMAX and 3D)

One of the problems of not going to the movies so often is not knowing which new movies are coming out and whether they are good or bad, that is why it is always recommended to get to the theater early and watch all the trailers they show before the movie. In conclusion i haven't heard about this movie until a week ago although apparently it was pretty high in box office because how would i? reading its plot also didn't motivate me that much, but since i never say no to a movie night.I watched this movie and my mind is still blown.

To begin i have to mention: watch this movie in IMAX and 3D otherwise you won't get the real experience you should get.

The story is about creatures coming out of a portal thingy from Pacific ocean and attacking the earth with the purpose of killing human being and conquering the planet.
only armies of man-controlled robots can fight back with those creatures that are getting bigger and wilder and stronger by time.

As we all know, movies from the top of the box are office are not meant to give you life lessons and change your perspective or make a better human being out of you ( some people are still able to get something out of them, like recently i heard one of my friend saying how the animation "monster university" helped her build a better character out of herself!!!!! ") .Pacific rim was not an exception, but the extraordinary fighting scenes, technology they used, concepts and all those special effects made this movie a must see in anyone's summer movie list.

I definitely recommend anyone who does or does not like action movies, robots and smart technologies to watch and get their minds blown by how awesomely this movie is made that is why  i give 7.5 to it.

Ginger and Rosa

This summer is turning me down cinematic wise, i mean if you want to stop all the good shows(well almost all the good shows) you gotta have good things on big screen, but except for some animations and some super hero movies nothing more ( i am pretty sure i am offending some audience ;P)

to cut the nagging short i decided to rent a movie and watch it (with my mom which was NOT a good idea). It has been a while since my movie list was piling up and i just rented the one on top of my list which was Ginger and Rosa.

The movie is a wanna be complicated relationship between two teenage girls in 1940s right when the anti nuclear bombs activist started protesting. One of the girls(Rosa) is from a strict family which made a rebel out of her in all the wrong ways and the other one(Ginger) is from a pacifist father and an artist mother. They have always been best friends spending every minute of their lives together but eventually Ginger starts setting her path by becoming an activist, attending meetings and writing and Rosa starts partying and sleeping around and one day Ginger finds out that Rosa is with her dad which ruins her world for her.

Well that was the whole thing, it was not a sophisticated movie or didn't have beautiful dialogues or incredible scenes. But i particularly like movies that are about young girls problems so i didn't hate it.

I don't want to recommend this and let yourself decide ;DDD

5.5/10 is probably enough and even a little bit biased.

Shaun of the dead

In our very normal daily discussions of our PhD life, i realized i have no idea about zombies, well i kinda knew they are very dangerous dead people but nothing more therefore as a literature study this movie was prescribed to me which was supposed to be a good PG 13 zombie movie to start with.

The movie in general is about a normal boring inertial guy whose relationship is about to be ruined because of his passiveness and his lazy friend. Suddenly he becomes the hero of a rising of the zombies. the character is played by Simon Pegg whom i love and find very funny.

The zombie part of the movie is very kid(me)-friendly and very informative, like i realized zombies die by having their head cut off or if a zombie bites you, you die and rise as a zombie(kinda like vampires, but vampires are much more sexy). This movie has a very subtle comedy theme and not boring at all. I liked the acts and the fact that it got 8/10 on imdb shows that i am not the only one who likes it.all the characters are in their own way weird, but it also has its own cheesy scenes.

But definitely, if you know you wont be disappointed by how not scary this movie is i recommend it to watch and give 6.5/10 to it.

Cloud Atlas

If you think i stopped watching movie, well you are kinda right, a month ago i found a TV serie called "Mad Men" which i am going to talk about in another post, and i absolutely fell in love and been watching it ever since, I had 6 season of 13 episode each and i still have 5 more episodes, but last night i decided that i need to watch a movie and i rented cloud atlas.

To begin with, please start watching this movie when you are going to have 3 hour free time because it LONG.

I watched this movie with my mom and she is a fan of action movies and special effects ( I am not) , and she enjoyed those parts of the movie. But for me, it was a series of different events which could be connected somehow to each other, but still it wouldn't make you say : "OHHH, that is what is happening, now it make sense ."

The movie consists of 3 or 4 main characters in 4 or 5 different places and times, meeting each other. One in a tribe far from civilization , one in 70s, one in 2012 and one if the future.in all of them somehow humanity is being save from destruction.

It was not a deep movie and carried no special message , which i guess was the main effort that was failed. The scenery were pretty, some action, some romance, but to me it felt like a patch quilt, but not a very pretty one. I am sure the budget for this movie was huge but for me it, specially the length of the movie and the fact that it could finish at so many times during the movie without you thinking what happened nex.

Maybe the whole point of the movie was watching it on wide screen and 3D, I wouldn't know.

The great Gatsby

As i always mention, between a book and its movie, i always prefer the book, where you can imagine it as you want because i believe readers of a book are as important as their writers. Readers are those who give lives to the characters , scenes and events of a story.
Well this movie was not an exception.I am not saying that the movie was a bad one, in fact i loved it, i was amazed with it and i didn't even realize it was 2.5 hours and of course i recommend it to everyone to watch it.It has just enough amount of luxury, romance, adventure and depth in it and i believe each audience can connect to it in their own level ( well maybe i am exaggerating a little bit;D)

But my argument is i liked the book much more, because when i was reading it, i fantasized it so differently, more classic, deeper and much more dark.

The story is about a man in love who made a fantasy world just to get his beloved back. and the girl who falls in love with this world he made, but maybe not with him anymore.

The movie was very well made, good acting, beautiful and ostentatious scenes, great music and very much entertaining, but definitely it was a Hollywood movie and it is not going to be on the list of the movies one has to watch before die.

I am giving 6.5 out of 10 to this movie just because it kept me entertained for 2.5 hours.

Lincoln

"if two things are exactly the same as one thing, they are equal to each other "
I am not a big fan of history, i mean history is important,it should be read and thought of. But well i am not crazy about it.
I hesitated watching this movie because i know so little about the history of the US, but well being the academy award nominated and winner, i finally decided to give it a try.

It is a very beautiful movie, full of great conversations, so if you are a fan of special effects and scenery , this movie is not for you. you have to listen and feel and get excited. How this man tried to establish the equality between black and white, how he tried to get the voted he needed, how his family were supportive of him. Other than Lincoln himself, his wife played a very beautiful role in the movie, as an educated, witty and aware lady.

Now i can say i liked the movie very much and if you think you have 2.5 hour and patience, i really recommend this movie. It has all the potentials to be one of the must sees of all the time, but not quite there.

;D

Jack the giant slayer

I remember i was 5 years old and i just learnt how to read,a whole new world was opened to me.I used to read and read and read, staying up all nights, while eating, even i have so many ruined books because i used to read while i was in the shower,i grew up with fairy tales and fables and one of my favorites of course was anything by Hans Christian Anderson.I knew all his stories by heart, like i lived them all.

These days i have been pretty stressed out and when i am in anxiety mode i watch, nonstop, while sleeping, right when i wake up, while at work(as a back ground of course) and i am fortunate because we have a $ theatre close to our house, so i went and watched every single movie they are showing and tonight i watched Jack and the giant slayer.

I went there with hopes and high expectations and it didn't disappoint me.it was a nice entertaining movie, of course with beautiful scenery and in 3D which made it much more exciting. To many people probably it is a little childish but to be honest i loved it.I knew the story, but the whole experience was a sweet memory to me.

As far as the story ,well we all know there is this Jack guy who finds some magic beans and and goes to a new world up in the sky where giants live and at the end he saves the world from giants. but there was something about the movie, something nice, calming, exciting, very smooth, good acts, everything came together and made me entertained and i had a smile getting out of the movie theatre.

So a very much biased rating will be 8 out of 10 to this movie, just because it made me forget my problems for 1.5 hour.

Identity theft

To be honest, funny movies are not my thing, well i admit that i loved bridesmaids or horrible bosses to some extend, but I would rarely personally sit and watch a funny movie and laugh by myself.

But IF the movie is on $ theatre and i am with my friends, and it is a Tuesday night so i have nothing else to do, and the funny chubby lady from bridesmaids is in it i wouldn't say no.

The movie is about a woman stealing a hardworking guy's identity and while he is struggling providing for his family with a baby on the way, the woman is living luxuriously on his credit cards. Once he guy realizes and his whole life is on the edge of being ruined he decides to go and find the woman.
miraculously he finds her and through some serious actions and accidents he takes her to his hometown, where the police actually would catch her.

if it was not because of the woman, the movie would be so boring, but she brought so much color and whim to it.

In General if you are extremely bored please watch this movie ,or not ;D

I am giving 4 out of 10 to identity theft, Wait, isn't that too much for it?

A monster in Paris

Cute and adorable, two words describing this animation made by Europa Corp (?!?).
I love animations when they are not too childish or when they are amazingly created. this animation was one of the good ones i recently watched. about an over sized lace who can sing very well. There are also two parallel love story make the movie somewhat more interesting.

The whole story happens in 1990s in Paris, somewhat funny, somewhat romantic and very well made and it starts when a very pretty and talented singer finds a giant lace which brought horror to the city recently. to our surprise the lace a very high level of artistic talent. but an officer is trying to catch the so called monster and he ends up being sent to the jail for being violent.

I was in general, happy with the experience of watching this animation , especially because of the delightful soundtracks and the scenery.one can not they used state of the art technology to make this animation, but your eyes won't suffer watching it (ok quality)

i am somewhat biased towards animations so i am going to give 6/10 to this and i recommend watching it.

P.S. don't worry about it being french because the language of the movie is English.

Argo

I postponed watching Argo as far as i could. tonight feeling mentally totally fine i decided it should happen, and to my surprise, i am not angry at all right now.well i am angry at academy awards to pay attention to such a Hollywood movie, but those awards are extremely political and have no artistic value.

Me, being a Persian, living in the US, hating ben affleck, am probably the most biased audience of this movie, so i told myself go watch it as if you are someone from Mars, and i did, and i actually found the movie almost entertaining.

I am not going to get into the political and historical stuff because first i am not qualified to comment and second i don't like to, so my comments are based on the movie if it was not from a real event.

The movie is about 6 of the US embassy staff trapped in a house in Tehran after occupying the embassy by Iran revolutionists in  1979. Ben affleck being a member of CIA decides to rescue them by putting them under cover of a Canadian film production crew visiting Iran.

The movie did not have strong acts and powerful scenes, the only bright point was when the Americans were trying to get on the plane while the revolutionist found out about them and were trying to catch them. ( i got surprisingly nervous for them)

The more in think the more i realize the movie has nothing more than this in it.

So i am going to give it 2 out of 10 and do not recommend watching it to anyone, lol sorry mr. affleck

Silver linings playbook

I haven't watched satisfactory amount of movie for such a long time that i am losing hope in myself.today i am shamefully recycle my memories of a movie i watched more than two weeks ago. I still have a good recollection of it since it was such a good movie ("duhhhhh")

When SLP was on screen i didn't have a chance to go watch it , so one night out of boredom i searched it online and the first result was the link to watch the movie ( sorry, but i am a poor student and i only felt a little bit bad about watching it for free).

Most of us love jennifer lawrence so much that she is enough motivation to watch this movie.Although she looks like a cold person, she showed such high levels of emotions in this movie that now i love her 10 times more.

The story is about a guy with anger management problem being released from mental hospital. his wife left him for some reason and he lives with his family. he meets a girl from his town whose husband was killed in a police accident and she didn't take the death very well and now she is depressed. to get out of her depression she wants to compete in a dance competition. The girl promises that she can help him communicate with his wife on the condition that he helps her with being her partner for the competition.
During the everyday practices they have, a very emotional bound is being formed between them. the girl starts having feeling for the guy and the guy starts coping with his anger problem.

On the night of competition his wife shows up and shatters all the hope for the girl.

Yes, i cried while watching the movie, and i felt whatever they have been through because of such strong acts they have.I recommend this movie to anyone who is slightly interested in drama. still the movie can be boring for some of the audience.

8 out of 10, just because of the act and story line and a round of applauds ;D

OZ, the great and Powerful

Oz the great and powerful was honestly not that much great and not t all powerful, one of those situations that you wait for something for such a long time and you dream about it and try to imagine how wonderful the experience would be and then it happens and you are like: what? that was it?

and it was the case for me watching this movie. i am a fairy tale obsessed and love any story which goes back to my childhood and in specific i was always obsessed with OZ. i would be sitting and staring at Judy garland and be amazed by the emerald city, then i watched the musical "wicked" and i felt deeply like i solved an important family mystery, and this movie, ruined it all for me.

A great number of superstars and highly saturated scenes in 3D tricked me into waiting for this movie and setting my standards high, and letting me down with simply a childish story, weak acts, super unnatural scenes, flying monkey and not at all professional use of 3D effects.

This movie might not be the worst i ever seen but simply because it let me down i am going to give 5 out of 10,
P.S. seriously!!! mila kunis was ugly in this movie

Skyfall

This is my mind here and it is blown right now,  this movie was perfect but what blew my mind was mostly myself loving the movie. I  thought Daniel Craig can not be a 007, after all he was too blonde for me but i should say he did a really good job.
Also Javier bardom, only if i knew he is in this movie i would watch it on its premier not 3 months after it went of screen. his act is amazing as all the time and he never let me down.

there is not much to say about the movie, the story line is pretty obvious but the scenes were amazing, i wish i could watch it on screen not from my tiny 13" lap top.
any how, they did a pretty good job and i definitely recommend everyone to watch it.

I will give 7 to this movie, for the scenes and special effects and of course all the cool cars they exploded ;D

Jiro dream of Sushi

I have been meaning to watch this movie for such a long time, it was introduced to me more than a year ago from a friend with which we share the joy of eating sushi and for no apparent reason i never got to watch it until two weeks ago.
This movie is amazing in a whole new level.i believe documentaries are in general boring, but when a good one comes out it is a thousand times better than non-documentary ones.

The movie is about Jiro, a Japanese guy who owns a sushi restaurant, a very famous one for which you have to wait around3,4 months to get to eat in. the food is very simple, but it is made specifically for the costumer, one by one by jiro himself. there are so much love and attention that he puts in every little detail of the work that makes you wonder if your whole life is meaningless comparing to his.

He has been working since he was a little kid and never even took a vacation, and asked his sons and all the people working for him the same thing.
everything should be at the level of perfection at his restaurant, he says no small step is less important that other steps, from choosing the fish, to making the rice, making the egg cake, cutting, marinating, making the sushi, everything should be done only in the best possible way.

I recommend watching this movie to any sushi lover, food lover, documentary lover, film lover and anyone else, you can take so many lessons out of it,and get such a good feeling after watching it.

8.5 out of 10 starts for this masterpiece ;D
I should also mention that eating at his restaurant is on top of my bucket list, jus saying

for a good time call

I have been so lazy for such a long time on updating about the movies i watch, well it looks like i have been very busy because i actually have not watched so many movies recently, maybe one every week and now that i say it out loud i am ashamed of myself.

The most recent movie that i have watched is not even close to a bright point in my moving watching history. the movie is called for a good time call and it is about a girl who has a hotline renting a room in her house to another girl who is very rigid. they both have money problems and decide to run a hotline for themselves with sexual experiment of the first girl and managerial abilities of the other one. somehow in between second girl starts to open up and help in answering the calls.then the other girl starts dating one of her usual clients and  SPOILER ALERT we find out she is a virgin.

I seriously couldn't the understand what cheesy point the movie wants to say, but to my surprised it was an entertaining one ( probably too girlie for guys).
I am going to give 4 starts out of 10 to this movie for the smiles at some points it brought to my face and nothing else, sorry
