Ginger and Rosa

This summer is turning me down cinematic wise, i mean if you want to stop all the good shows(well almost all the good shows) you gotta have good things on big screen, but except for some animations and some super hero movies nothing more ( i am pretty sure i am offending some audience ;P)

to cut the nagging short i decided to rent a movie and watch it (with my mom which was NOT a good idea). It has been a while since my movie list was piling up and i just rented the one on top of my list which was Ginger and Rosa.

The movie is a wanna be complicated relationship between two teenage girls in 1940s right when the anti nuclear bombs activist started protesting. One of the girls(Rosa) is from a strict family which made a rebel out of her in all the wrong ways and the other one(Ginger) is from a pacifist father and an artist mother. They have always been best friends spending every minute of their lives together but eventually Ginger starts setting her path by becoming an activist, attending meetings and writing and Rosa starts partying and sleeping around and one day Ginger finds out that Rosa is with her dad which ruins her world for her.

Well that was the whole thing, it was not a sophisticated movie or didn't have beautiful dialogues or incredible scenes. But i particularly like movies that are about young girls problems so i didn't hate it.

I don't want to recommend this and let yourself decide ;DDD

5.5/10 is probably enough and even a little bit biased.
