Wreck it ralph

In the past couple of weeks i didn't have enough time to visit theaters as much  and as frequent as i usually do, hence i didn't have enough time to review what i watched.
I want to start the reviews of what i watched by the animation wreck it ralph.
You don't need to be a video game fan to like this movie  but Of course if you are a video game player you would connect.

Once again i fell in love with another Disney creation. It is witty , funny and colorful.
The story of a nice guy with a bad character from a video game who needs to be appreciated, which is an odd thing for a bad character. He jumps through different video games and become friends with a little girl.

I must confess the movie does not worth paying $13 to go to theater or $17 for the 3D, because it didn't have any 3D effect.


But it was a CUTE movie, which at the end outs a smile on your face.

I will give a 6/10 to this movie.

The perks of being a wallflower

This movie had one goal and it could certainly achieved it and it was being different.
I have been hearing so much about this movie for the past months, mostly from my guy friends and mostly because they were eager to see Emma Watson in something other than harry potter ( i agree, she is one of the cutest creatures ever) .
I got lucky because we have a little movie theater right next to our school which mostly screens what i call "special audience" movies which are supposed to be deeper.
The atmosphere of the movie was a bit unfamiliar for me, because i never experienced that whole "first day of high school, being the cool kid, finding the perfect girl or guy ", and this is one of the favorite subject in Hollywood.

but there is saying that " whatever comes from heart, goes right into heart " and this movie was one special example. I deeply felt for all the characters and understood them all.

As you might probably find out, this movie about a guy who is starting high school and is somehow "different" because of a tragedy that happened in his childhood.luckily he finds a group of friends who understand him and he falls for one of them. All of them are graduating this year and he gets to confront his fears in life.

I am giving this movie 8/10, but i am telling this is a biased judgement because i waited so long to watch the movie and it didn't disappoint me. ;)

Scoop

Woody Allen is one of the few people who can entertain me easily, and this time he is even more successful.
with a whimsical suspicious almost comedy movie about a young American journalism student (Scarlett Johansson) who is in UK for a vacation , and there she get to know a so called magician from US ( Woody Allen) at one of his performances.She volunteers for one of the tricks and in the magic box she meets the ghost of a famous journalist, who tells her that a series of murders are being done by an English man from a famous family.
With the hope of getting a scoop out of this story she starts investigating, but as she gets to know the guy she falls in love with him...
Woody Allen's act in this movie is hilarious, as usual he has the role of a goofy person with good sense of humor.

I would definitely recommend watching this movie if you want something different for a change.

I give 6/10 to Scoop

Think like a man

When i heard about this movie i thought oh thank God, it is going to solve all my relationship problems ;) lol , yeah i AM that naiive. but when i saw the poster and realized all the actors and actresses are African American i was disappointed. Don't get me wrong, i am not a racist or anything like that, it is just different group of people have different cultures, so if it was a Persian movie i would be most excited.
Anyway, after watching it i realized it was a trap, it didn't solve my relationship problems, it just entertained me for 2 hours.

Overall i liked the movie very much. it was about 5-6 different type of relationships, like when the guy is too much attached to his mom, when the girl is too powerful and successful, when the guy is a player , etc. and then a handbook comes out and girls start following it and some more things happen and at the end everyone live happily ever after.

I would recommend this movie only if you just want to spend time and be entertained. and it is going to get 6/10 from me.

The Very Best Exotic Marigold Hotel

My sister is my best inspiration is choosing what to watch, she has that kind of smartness about media. I always ask her about books, movies and songs and she is kinda like a media guru for me ( i know it is too much but she is my sister and i adore her)
Anyway, some weeks ago she recommended that i watch this movie.I checked it online and realized there are so many good actors in it and despite the fact that people in the movie are from 2 generations older than me i decided to watch it at our local dollar theater.

This movie is such a feeling good movie, my smile never disappeared from my face and my friend told me i was so happy at the end, almost like the people in the movie are my children ;)

 A group of elderly people who are not related go to a hotel facility in India for old people. And the movie is about how they connect, interact and become friends, fall in love ,etc.

This movie has so many beautiful scenes, dialogues and is full of life and hope that you will be amazed. I certainly recommend it if you have free time and want to smile and feel relieved inside for a while.

But overall i am not going to give more than 6 /10 to this movie because it was not very special and i was not the right audience to it.

Carnage

A kid A  hit  kid B  in playground resulting in B loosing two of his teeth. Now A's parents are at B's house trying to apologize. the story takes place in only a room and maybe few minutes in the bathroom and hallway of the apartment. But this movie was so strong so amazing that i recommend it to everyone who like movies .

I am personally a big big fan of speech movies,Roman Polanski, Kate Winslet and Judie Foster , and having them all in a movie, just amazed me.

Parents of B are a very artistic, human rights , child development mom , and a dad that from the beginning we now he is trying to act civilized. Parents of A  are a chic , fashionable, easy going mom who is trying to be a good mom and a very very busy dad who is on the phone most of the time and from the beginning does not give a s..t and it is obvious that the mom dragged him there . Each of the parents are trying to have their son's side and look caring about the other kid, but at some point they break and show their very true nature.

I seriously don't want to spoil the movie because i am sure it's worth watching it.

So please please, do it this weekend. i am sure you will see good story, good act and you will thank me.

a 9/10 for this movie and up to now this movie is my favorite movie of 2012.

Celeste and Jesse forever

I have been wanting to watch this movie for so long because i love any movie about relationship and i love any movie that they show at a very specific theater close to my school , because no one goes there and it is always very empty and quite and cozy.

well this movie might show the story of the life of so many of us but then it is because the story is very simple natural and common. a couple stay together just because they have some details in common, like they understand each other's jokes, they have a good physical relationship, they are both intelligent and funny and not so much socially normal , but they also have some very much fundamental problems.

They decide to get a divorce but they just don't try to move on with their life, suddenly they guy knocks another girl up and he decided he wants to take the relationship seriously with the mother of his child.

The Ex wife starts this journey of trying to move on, she cries and gets drunk and obsess over exercising and her work.

At the end nothing special happens, they guy has his new life and the girl is trying to do the same thing and at the end it seems they finally both moved on ( good for them;D)


I love , love, loved the movie and going to give it an 8/10, just because it was so natural and real .but i don't recommend everyone to watch it , hehe

Wanderlust

Hmmm, i am not sure what to say about this movie ( there is not much to say).
A couple loosing their job in the city try to move to Atlanta to the guy's brother's house. on their way they get to know this hippie community and they are amazed by the simplicity of their lifestyle. They decide to stay and now they have to adapt ...

the whole purpose of this movie is being funny ( not so much ) and entertaining . like if you are really tired and just not want to think about anything and get involved with layers of story;)

I give 5/10 to this movie. but don't hesitate, it is funny ( to some people ), at least it has two hots girls in it.

Extremely loud and incredibly close

It's been a while since i have not posted anything, but don't get me wrong, i have not stopped watching movies.
I watched this movie 2 weeks ago at a movie night in our school.One of my friends recommended me watch this movie long time ago but i don't like tom hanks and i just can't help it.

Well i watched it and i was amazed, not much tom hanks in the movie. The hero is a 12-13 year old boy who lost his father at 9/11 incident.In the last hours of his life, his father is trying to call him and talk to him but he just not picked up the phone and he has to face his regrets.

In his father's closet he finds a key with a name on it and a journey to find the key's lock starts. He meets many new people, and get to fight with some of his fears.

I am not going to go through every detail of this movie, but it is highly emotional and i almost cried during the movie. I recommend watching it to not so sad people to help them soften their hearts ;P

Savages

I watched Savages last weekend when i was visiting DC. not a movie that i should have watched while i had to go back alone to my hotelroom.

The movie is extremely violent about these two guys who grow weed and share a very hot Californian girl.
two hot guys, a girl with killing body, penelope cruz, scenes from having sex and getting high and so many killing , shooting, chopping body parts and taking eyes out are what this movie consists of.

The whole story is that a major dealer take their girl and ask them to provide her a lot of weed.A lot of sick stuff happens and movie ends.

If you are into violence, this movie is a perfect choice , but i will personally give it 2/10.

The Dark knight rises

I know you have all either watched the movie or are really anxious to watch it thank God the movie doesn't have anything special to spoil.

All i can say that the movie was awesome, i am not a big superhero fan, but batman is always different. Also the beautiful collection of cast and the director ,this summer we got lucky.

this movie was the third of Christopher Nolan batman trilogy .This one was more like the continuation to the first movie in which batman comes back after years and tries to save gotham.

The movie is a little long, 2:38 , but you won't even feel the time passing because in every scene we are amazed and so many stories happen together though the actual story is a hero saving a city which is nothing new, but you shouldn't be worried about that being kinda boring.

I am going to give 8.5/10 to this movie and recommend everyone to go and watch it (in IMAX) .

A very Harold and Kumar christmas

I have been very busy this week and didn't have time to watch anything special ( even my tv series) , so i decided on Friday night that i HAVE to watch the first thing that i can find and i got lucky ( well only in finding a movie :P)
I am personally obsessed with Harold and Kumar, their first movie was so magical to me that i didn't even think when the second and the third came out. They are all very funny, of course in a very very American way, yet they seemed pretty hilarious to me too.

In this movie Harold finally got a good job and relationship with a Mexican girl with a very strict family who are coming to visit them for Christmas and bring a very special Christmas tree for them, Harold trying to attract the dad to himself accepts to decorate and take care of the tree,but Kumar is in a messed up situation and because of this Harold stopped contacting him. a series of situations makes Kumar ruining the tree and they try to find a perfect tree to replace the old one. As usual so many weird stuff happens from smoking, getting high, using cocaine , ending up in a college party with crazy kids and at the end everything falls in right place.

This movie is not that kind that you follow a story and conclude something at the end, it is more like you see funny and weird scenes and get surprised.

On top of all NPH was in the movie which made the movie even much more special.

So if you are not in mood of deep movie and just want to spend some time and laugh i definitely recommend this movie and i am going to give 6/10 to it.

Sunset Boulevard

This week imdb should be very proud of me becuase this is my third movie from the top 250 movies ever. At first i need to warn everyone about something, for movie lovers like me who watched eveything and anything, there is a very high chance that you won't enjoy watching classics anymore, because their subjects have beem so many times used in different movies that they might seem to be a copy, but in fact they are the original one ( that was my discovery today after geeting bored of all the good movies that i watch recently).

Sunset blvd is the story of an old famous actress from silent movies who with the advent of vocal movies they were put aside ( yes, very similar to "the artist ", in fact too similar).She finds a poor young screenwriter by chance and ask him to stay in her mansion and help her write a movie to play in. The movie technically lives in her dream world where she is still a very famous actress and everyone loves her. 

In meantime she falls in love with the young man or better say she becomes obsessed with him. 

The story shows the struggle of the old lady making the young man to love her and her craziness.

I have not watched alot of classic movie, so i can not compare it with anything, but the subject is certainly interesting, and the young man is a very good actor. I din't like the old woman's act because she is too artificial and personally i have not met such a weird person in my life ( still there may exist someone like her).

I am going to give 6/10 to the movie and i do not recommend it if you are not a classic-black and white movie fan.

Fight Club

I have been watching this movie during 3 days and now that it is finished my mind is fucked (please excuse me for the language) but that is exactly what happened.

I have not still decided if i wanna be a spoiler or not so i start from the beginning and decide later.

This movie is among top 10 imdb list and i always thought i watched it before, but apparently not, so i decided to watch it this monday, since i am so busy and the movie is kinda long (2:20 hour) i had to watch it discontinuously. 

The movie is about a man who is so deeply in a cliched life tht can not take it anymore. He is suffering from insomnia and started attending supports group for different diseases to help himself become calm. Suddenly he realises another person ( my dearest Helena Bonhem Carter) does the exact same thing and he loses his peace of mind once more, so they decide that they split the support groups to avoid seeing each other, from that time the movie starts having a rise with a very high slope, he meets a guy, they start fighting for no reason and they seem to enjoy it to the extend that they start a fight club. That is where the famous quote from this movie comes : rules of fight club : role #1. noone talks about fight club ...

Their club extends and the start doing other activities mostly containing vandalism with the mission of ruining the Capital to help people financially. 

I am not gonna spoil the movie, so i recommend everyone watching it.

The whole story is about self tranformations and how common people start to realize they don't matter at all in this society, well , from one side, i believe that is very true, but on the other side, believing so would cause so much trouble because we are going to lose our motivation to live and try to become successful. (i am an exception, i didn't have any motivation from the beginning and actually people who do have one seem very weird to me).

Anyways, the movie is very dark with so many fighting scenes that might make you feel a little under pressure ( i did) , but at the end, you will be so surprised that you would not even remember it. The acts are absolutely amazing, well this is acutually the first time that i am admiring Brad Pitt for his act.

I am going to give this movie 9/10 ( jus because i am still in shock :), hurry uo and watch the movie !

Snow white and the huntsman

This Monday i started watching a very good movie, since i am busy during the week and the movie is very long, i have not finished it yet ( YES, i am capable of watching movies like tv ;P). I am not going to give out the movie's name, but i am going to talk about Snow white and the huntsman .

I watched this movie about a month ago, i dragged a guy friend of mine which i liked very much to watch it with me and i wish i didn't. The movie was so long and so boring that we were both almost asleep after the first two hour ;)

I noticed that Snow white got a come back early this summer with at least 3 related movies. I am not a big fan of snow white because from the beginning the whole story was a little stupid and couldn't make sense for me, but all these stars playing in the movie, and the horror atmosphere took me to the theater.

There was nothing new in the story, the devil witch asks someone to kill snow white but he falls for her and they destroy the witch. Well this one was a more mature version, there was no poisonous apple, some sexy scenes, some war scenes a beast and finally to make the film deeper they put an unresolved family problem in the movie but still, it had nothing new to show and seriously i am not sure why they made the movie. In the same week i watched the movie " mirror, mirror" which I am going to talk about in another post , and that one was a little bit better ( still annoying)

I am going to give 3/10 to this movie, sorry miss throne, but you sucked big time.

Pulp fiction

I know you all are surprised, but yes, i resisted watching pulp fiction until today and i had my own reasons.first of all, not that i hate, but i am not a fan of bloody movies, and i knew that this movie is among top 5 on imdb list and everyone should watch it, but being directed by quentin tarantino and with uma thurman,i was expecting something like kill bill ( i have not watch that one either, but i know it is too harsh for me). 

Well , i was wrong, but i am not sorry , because you know that feeling when you meet someone who hasn't watched one of your favorite movies yet and you are like :" lucky you that you can watch the movie for the first time and be amazed " , i had the exact same feeling, and i am happy that i was amazed tonight.

The movie was simply awesome, expect for some shooting scenes that i closed my eyes , i loved how different stories joined together at the end. The acts were perfect and a handful of movie star were in that film ( not all of them are my favorites). 

The story is about some thieves and killers and to be hones the whole story was not something special, but each part of the movie by itself was a masterpiece, each dialogue or scene in the movie could have its own story and was enough to make the movie perfect.

My favorite quote from the movie was when the top guy's wife and john travolta were out for dinner and they were sitting at the table not talking to each other, then the wife( uma thurman) says : don't you enjoy this comfortable silence" she meant when two people are so deeply into eachother or understand eachother that they don't need to talk all the time and when they are silent, it is not awkward.

Also there was a french girl who in a scene when she and her husband (bruce willis) were in bed, she said:" i wish i had a pot belly, i think it is so sexy when you have perfect body, perfect hip, perfect ass, but suddenly there is this huge belly on you."I love french women's perspective toward life.

At the end, i wanna mention i am going to rate this movie 8/10, and i am just saying this is my personal opinion and i am not even an eligible critique, so please don't hate me.

Roman Holiday

I honestly can not be unbiased about this movie because i am in love with audry hepburn,and i think ican say after "breakfast at Tiffany" this was the best movie that i saw from her. As always , she is the innocent energetic cute little girl who steal everyones heart with her charm.

A girlish comedy romance with the cliche story and scenes but the acts were so good that somehow made this movie a different one from the other.

A princess who is somehow and in a very weird way naiive ( which was the only questionable part of the movie) runs away from her embassy in rome and meet a journalist who is tempted to abuse her presence for a moneymaker story. they spend a day together and fall in love at the end.

I highly recommend those who are interested in classics to watch this movie. and as a comedy romance fan expert i am going to give 6.5/10 to this movie. Enjoy

To Rome with Love

I am not sure how to start, so i just say WOW

I am personally a big fan of woody allen movies( not particularly the one he plays in) but i can say this one was a big jump. As he mentions repeatedly in the movie, he usually thinks ahead of his time. 

He can easily get simple everyday life facts and events and turn them into amazing wierd happenings.

I am obsessed with the vivid scenes from his movies that you know have happened to you in your life but you never knew they could be so interesting.

Anyways, the movie as usual consist of different events in different people's lives that are somehow in deeper level connected to each other, mostly making fun of today's hot shallow topics like fame, celebrities, cheating etc.

characters easily do things that you might do in your life if put in the same situation ,stuff that you always thought  you would never do :) (like cheating to your husband with your favorite movie star)

the movie is very well structured and smoothly switches between the stories and shows such an amazing and lively atmosphere of italy that i fell in love.

I highly recommend the movie to those who like different movies and give 8.5/10 to it.

Prometheus

Good news to all the Alien lovers and avatar fans, watch Prometheus.

This weekend i had to watch Prometheus because of the guy who got recently interested in one of my friend and he drove to meet her, otherwise i would never watch this movie. I don't know from where i always thought it is a scary movie ( not a big fan) , but this movie was very interesting with only one or two disgusting scenes.

The director is Ridley Scott , the father of alien movies and the movie was very well structured.

It was about humans, in 70 years trying to find their origin( they suppose there are creatures who engineered us).

Of course there was a spaceship, a hot captain with family problems (Charlize theron), and dedicated  in love couple which one of them dying at the end. But the technology used in the movie was amazing,somewhat a combination of hunger game and Avatar.

I am always amazed by the fact that how they come up with this ideas and if there are people who have these ideas why they don't create them in real life?

anyway, There were so many parts of the movie which could be cut and wouldn't do any harm, but in general it is always refreshing when people tickle some subjects like "Creation".

I am going to give 6.5/10 to this movie.

P.S. if medical scenes like a Caesarean surgery disgust you please don't watch this movie B-)

Ted

I have been waiting for a month for this movie to come out. Mila Kunis playing in it was enough motivation since i think she is super sexy and funny, and who doesn't like a funny movie about getting high and getting laid?

To my disappointment, all of the funny parts were those from the trailer,and Mila Kunis not only was not hot in the movie, she looked like a girl from a village. Since i usually enjoy family guy, i supposed it would be an enjoyable experience, but the movie was very annoying, the bear(Ted) was literally "Peter Griffin" only when he is annoying.Most of the scenes were copies of family guy also, like the fighting scenes, and during the movie i was like " why a 30 something year old man is ruining his life listening to a teddy bear?"

The only interesting character in the movie was Joel McHale from the soup (which is one of my favorite shows) , who has the role of the boss of the girl who is constantly sexually harassing her, and the fact that he is hot made the movie a little interesting.

I think the only reason that the movie is constantly sold out is because of the American obsession with getting high and S..t.,but seriously , totally not worth it.

i am going to rank the movie 3/10 only because of Joel McHale and the hallucination parts.

P.S. the movie is so freaking long that you can not believe B-)
